Nestled at the Southwest corner of the Garden of the Gods Park lies the historic Garden of the Gods Trading Post. In the early 1920's Charles Strausenback built the Trading Post to resemble the homes of the Pueblo Indians. Since that time, the Trading Post has expanded seven times to become Colorado's largest Trading Post. Native American jewelry, Navajo rugs, Sand paintings and Pueblo pottery can be found in the vast collection located in the Southwestern Art Gallery. Traditional Colorado gifts and souvenirs and the Balanced Rock Cafe complete with Buffalo burgers compliment the experience. The Trading Post is located on the South edge of the Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Garden of the Gods Trading post is located on the southwest edge of Garden of the Gods Park which was named Tripadvisor’s Top Park in the US and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. The Trading Post is Colorado’s largest art gallery and gift store with over 25,000 gifts and souvenirs to choose from. The Art Gallery features local and nationally known artists, contemporary jewelry, paintings, pueblo pottery and Navajo rugs. A wide variety of Colorado gifts and souvenirs can be found in the main store as well as an extensive selection of t-shirts and apparel.  After spending a day in the park you can grab a bite to eat at the Balanced Rock Café, and finish your day with some Blue Bell ice cream or Starbucks coffee from our Coffee Corner.

The Garden of the Gods Trading Post has a rich past that you can discover through historical photos of the original building, the Pikes Peak Region, and some of the Garden’s early visitors. Enjoy these glimpses into history while dining in the Balanced Rock Café and shopping in our Art Gallery.

If you have a special event coming up you can also have your party right here at the Trading Post. Our Conference Center and Strausenback Pavilion host many weddings, bus tours, and business meetings each year.

The Garden of the Gods Trading Post is one of the largest trading posts in the world and truly has something for everyone.
